When I read about the clever way that scientists had gone about naming newly discovered organisms - having fun while still adhering to convention - it reminded me of another topic entirely: music! Specifically, the way that certain musicians found on Spotify had decided to name themselves. The piece I read was by Liz Pelly, also in Harper’s, but it was covered extensively in many other publications.
